Keystone
assists eight rural school districts with their special education programs
and employs special education teachers, related service providers,
and paraeducators. In addition, Keystone hires Special Education Administrators
to help school districts with planning, training and supervising special
education staff, legal issues, required documentation and reporting,
and allocating resources for special education. A full range of special
education and related services are available for students with disabilities,
including placements in alternative settings.
The
mission of the Special Education Interlocal is to provide quality services
that produce independent learners. We are recognized as leaders in
the state in areas of alternative assessment of special education eligibility,
non-categorical service delivery, provision of services in the least
restrictive environments, early childhood special education, and educational
technology. We strive to employ highly qualified and hard working staff.
In order to support their efforts, we make every attempt to be a family-friendly
employer.
